What happens if you hire the wrong DJ?

It is time to giv e you a reality check. A wake up call if you will on the ramifications involved when hiring the wrong DJ. All DJ’s are not created equally as stated on #9 of the Customer 10 commandments. I repeat, ALL DJ’S ARE NOT CREATED EQUALLY. Believe it or not, here in Las Vegas, the entertainment capitol of the world, is home to some of the worst, inexperienced, and talent less disc jockeys in the United States.

You must ALWAYS keep in mind that the DJ you hire is going to literally make or break your reception or special event. Especially with weddings. You are putting one of the most important days of your life in the hands of a stranger. If you are one of the unfortunate ones who hired a bad DJ, there are no do-over’s. That’s it. Your life long memory, a day you waited for all of your life, has left you feeling empty, disappointed, and probably ripped off. Nobody had a good time. Nobody danced. All of your special events were everything but special. The DJ did nothing, said nothing, and didn’t have the slightest clue on what to do or play.  Believe me, this happens every single day. Don’t make that mistake.

Speaking of mistakes, one of the biggest ones made is thinking you got a better deal by hiring someone who gave you a price quote $50.00 or so less then the Best. Think about it. You just put out all that money for the reception hall. The delicious food. The beautiful cake and various accessories and didn’t budget your self for the most important part of the party. In the end, they probably weren’t even worth $50.00 in total. Nobody’s going to remember how good the food was, or how beautiful the cake was, or how impressive the hall was, they are going to remember and talk about how much fun they had. That is the DJ’s sole purpose. To do everything in his or her power to make sure that everyone have a fantastic time.

From the moment you walk through the doors, the DJ is creating a special vibe tailor made to fit your event. Every party is different and needs to be treated that way. The music is so important and will set the mood throughout the entire day or evening. All events such as the grand entrance need to be grand. It’s called a grand entrance for a reason. It should be fun and spectacular, as well as all others to follow.

And finally, here is a FACT that you need to know. Most companies hire DJ’s at a very low hourly rate. The DJ’s do this on the weekends to make some extra pocket money. They don’t even own their own equipment nor have their own music library. They walk into the event and everything is previously set up with a tiny book of assorted music, which most are unfamiliar with, and lacking in the appropriate genres. In my book, that is not a DJ that is an inexperienced weekend warrior who could care less about the outcome of your event. And from the company’s standpoint, they sent a body and hopefully you won’t complain. And if your from out of town, who cares!

Don’t take unnecessary chances on a day where everyone is counting on you to handle the entertainment. Always hire the BEST. Best of the Best is simply that. The BEST.
